Essential ingredients
- 250 ml of warm water (filtered or boiled)
- 1 teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate
- 3 drops of peppermint essential oil (or eucalyptus radiata)
- ½ teaspoon fine unrefined sea salt
- Optional: 1 teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide to enhance antibacterial action
- Optional: 1 teaspoon of pure aloe vera gel to soothe gums
Simplified instructions
- Pour the warm water into a clean container.
- Add the baking soda and salt, then mix until completely dissolved.
- Add the essential oils, shaking the bottle if necessary.
- Add aloe vera or peroxide if using.
- Mix one last time. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours.
Directions for use
Gargle a small amount for 30 to 60 seconds, then spit out . Ideal in the morning on an empty stomach after brushing, or as a complement to oil pulling .
