A powerful thunderstorm that caused a veritable apocalypse in neighboring Serbia is moving rapidly toward western Bulgaria. Serbian media are describing the situation as “chaos” after torrential rain and hailstorms hit many regions. In Kragujevac, the streets have turned into rivers laden with cars.
VThe storm hit Podrinje, Zlatibor County, the Ibar Valley, Šumadija, Srem, and Macva. A supercell thunderstorm carrying hailstones up to 5 centimeters in diameter is also reportedly heading toward the capital, Belgrade, causing serious concern.
