Cough Remedy Recipe
We need:
50g ground cumin (you can also use whole cumin if you don’t have ground cumin)
250 ml of water
For adults 1 tablespoon of prune juice
Preparation:
Mix the cumin with 200 ml of water, place on the stove and simmer for 15 minutes, with the lid slightly open. You should now have a thick, dark mixture.
Strain the liquid and add another 50 ml of water.
Return to heat and let boil.
I don’t know how it is with very young children, but our grandmother didn’t give us this “vitamin” until we were about 10 years old.
Adults add 1 tablespoon of plum juice to the resulting mixture.
Children take one teaspoon of the mixture twice a day and adults one teaspoon three times a day.
You only need to take it for a short time, we always felt relief after a few doses and just the ginger and herbal teas were enough.
The anti-inflammatory effects of cumin are responsible for its rapid action.
However, when taking this treatment, make sure you drink enough fluids, cumin has a diuretic effect.
