Watch out! These are clear signs that it’s…

Red, white or even colorless – painful or not: every stubborn pimple requires a consultation with a dermatologist

Here’s a look at these unusual skin symptoms.

During the summer, we are more exposed to external factors and nothing about our bodies – neither ourselves, nor our partners, nor our children – goes unnoticed.

Sometimes strange pimples appear. These are not due to acne or insect bites.

Large pimples: what can they mean?

These growths can be painful and indicate an infection or even a tumor—usually benign, but not always. If they develop and persist for a long time (several days with an obvious infection or three months without painful inflammation), it is advisable to consult a dermatologist. They can examine them with a dermatoscope, take a sample, or remove them if necessary. Boils, abscesses, sebaceous or epidermal cysts, as well as amelanotic (colorless) melanomas should not be ignored.

How to recognize a boil?

It is noticed when the pimple is large, hard, painful, red at the edges, and has a white spot in the center. A boil is a deep bacterial infection of the hair follicle caused by staphylococcus. Although less common today, it requires monitoring. If it does not disappear after antiseptic treatment at home, and especially if other boils appear or spread on the face, it is a sign that the infection is spreading. Immediate medical attention is necessary.
