This morning, I went out into the garden—just to water the flowers and check if the cats had yet relieved themselves, as they often do. But as soon as I opened the gate, a horrible smell hit me. So strong that my chest tightened and I felt a metallic taste in my mouth.

These tentacles are covered in sticky mucus and give off a horrible carrion-like odor to attract flies and spread their spores.

People who see it for the first time often think they’ve stumbled upon something extraterrestrial. Some even call the police or emergency services.

I was also shocked when I realized that this “creature” in my garden was just a mushroom – alive, strange, and perhaps one of the most sinister life forms created by nature.

Now I walk around this place every day. I don’t water the flowers anymore.

Let it grow – the “devil’s gift” must not be disturbed.
