Instructions:
Preparation:
After boiling your eggs, remove the shells carefully and rinse them under cool water to remove any remaining egg white.
You can either leave the shells whole or crush them into smaller pieces for easier handling.
Boiling the eggshells:
Place the eggshells in a medium-sized pot and fill it with water (around 4 cups).
Bring the water to a boil, and once it starts boiling, let the eggshells simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
Optionally, add a few drops of lemon juice or vinegar to help enhance the cleaning power of the boiled eggshells.
Using the boiled eggshells:
As a cleaner: Once boiled, the eggshells can be used as an abrasive cleaner for pots, pans, or sinks. The slightly rough texture helps to scrub off grime.
For plants: Crush the boiled eggshells and use them as a natural fertilizer. Sprinkle the crushed shells around your garden or indoor plants to provide essential minerals like calcium.
As a natural deodorizer:Boiled eggshells can also help eliminate odors. Simply place some shells in areas that need deodorizing, such as your fridge or trash can.
