Fat distribution: android and gynoid type

  • Android type (apple-shaped):   More common in men, fat accumulates mainly around the abdomen.

  • Gynoid (pear-shaped) type:   More common in women, fat is stored around the hips and thighs.

Types of obesity and how to control them

    • Cause:   Excessive calorie intake and lack of exercise.

    • Solution:   Limit your sugar intake and exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. Consult a doctor.

  2. Abdominal obesity (android type)

    • Cause:   stress, anxiety or depression.

    • Solution:   Manage your mental health through relaxation and regular physical activity. Consult a professional if necessary.

  3. Lower body (gynoid type)

    • Cause:   More common in women due to hormonal factors.

    • Solution:   Include lower-body and cardio exercises. Professional support is sometimes necessary.

  4. Abdominal bloating (android type)

    • Cause:   Excessive alcohol consumption or respiratory problems.

    • Solution:   Cut down on alcohol and practice breathing exercises.

  5. Lower body with swelling down to the lower legs (gynoid type)

    • Cause:   Common in pregnant women, causing swelling.

    • Solution:   Water aerobics and leg lifts reduce discomfort.

  6. Large, prominent belly with fat on the back (android type)

    • Cause:   Sedentary lifestyle and unstable blood sugar levels.

    • Solution:   Move more and stabilize your blood sugar with small, frequent meals.
