4 – Add the sifted flour and baking powder. Whisk until you get a smooth, dense, lump-free dough.
5 – Gently add the pineapple pieces to the dough and mix with a spatula, lifting the mixture from the bottom to the top.
6 – Pour the mixture into a previously buttered and floured cake tin (30 x 11 cm). Arrange the pineapple slices on the surface to decorate.
7 – Bake at 180°C (static oven) for about 40 minutes. Check the cooking with a toothpick: it should come out dry.
8 – Let cool completely before unmolding to prevent the cake from breaking.
