Lou Gehrig’s disease is a neurodegenerative disease that affects motor neurons, the nerve cells responsible for voluntary muscle movements.
It gradually causes:
Muscle weakness
Muscle wasting
A loss of mobility
And in advanced forms, respiratory problems
