“Lick it. If it looks like a rat, it tastes like a rat…” suggests another. In response to this post, a Reddit user says, “Whack it with a stick and lick the stick instead.”
Not everyone was convinced it was a rat.
“A possum, an armadillo,” writes another, or “a giant wall lizard.”
Push, pull, or tickle
Others have offered more absurd guesses and solutions to discover his identity.
“It’s just a shadow. Nothing to be alarmed about,” wrote one user, while another advised the original post’s author to “push it up and forget about it.”
A third shared: “Have you tried tickling him? Maybe that will bring him back up and he’ll disappear from sight and mind.”
Some recommended that the poster “be permanently removed.”
“One user asked how it was possible not to pull it, prompting the original post’s author to reply, “There are these [little] hairs sticking out, there’s no way I’m touching it with my bare hands.”
