The role of sleeping position
Sleeping position is very important. Lying on your back helps redistribute fluids toward the center of the body, which stimulates the kidneys. Sleeping on your side, especially the left, relieves pressure on the bladder and improves blood circulation.
The influence of temperature and microclimate in the room
A room that is too hot or too cold can disrupt deep sleep phases.
In the heat: the body is unable to lower its internal temperature and remains in light sleep.
In cold weather: “cold diuresis” is activated, during which the kidneys begin to produce more urine.
Stress and night wakings
The early morning hours are crucial for the nervous system. Between 2 and 3 a.m., the body enters a phase where the mind processes worries and emotions. Stress accumulated during the day can then manifest, causing micro-arousals that disrupt sleep.
