Recipe: Boiling Eggshells for Various Uses
Introduction:
Instead of throwing away eggshells, they can be repurposed in many ways! Boiling eggshells not only helps to remove any lingering bacteria but can also serve a variety of purposes, including as a natural cleaner, plant fertilizer, or even as a remedy for certain health benefits.
Ingredients:
10–15 eggshells (collected after boiling eggs)
4 cups water
Optional: A few drops of lemon juice or vinegar for extra cleaning powerInstructions:
Preparation:
After boiling your eggs, remove the shells carefully and rinse them under cool water to remove any remaining egg white.
You can either leave the shells whole or crush them into smaller pieces for easier handling.
Boiling the eggshells:
Place the eggshells in a medium-sized pot and fill it with water (around 4 cups).
Bring the water to a boil, and once it starts boiling, let the eggshells simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
Optionally, add a few drops of lemon juice or vinegar to help enhance the cleaning power of the boiled eggshells.
