It’s one of those things I do every summer, when the tomatoes are ripe, red, fragrant… in short, when they still have their authentic flavor. It’s not complicated, but it does require a bit of patience and attention. But it’s worth it in the end, because opening a jar in the middle of winter and smelling the aroma of basil and garlic… well, it’s like stepping back into July for a moment.
I’m no chef, I admit that right away. But I’m a pretty good cook, and above all, I always try to prepare dishes as healthily as possible, without overdoing it with sugar and other ingredients. Yes, this jam may not be “ideal” for everyone, but it’s effective, and in my house, we gobble it up in no time.
